In 1920, Yves Michaud, engineer & beekeeper, founded the company Famille Michaud Apiculteurs. Yves Michaud became a pioneer of beekeeping transhumance and developed new beekeeping techniques.

Today the Lune de Miel® brand is the leading brand of honey among consumers in France with 32% market share. Lune de Miel® is the most widely distributed in the world with a presence in 59 countries internationally, i.e. 28 million jars of honey sold each year.

In 1992 Famille Michaud Apiculteurs revolutionizing the use of honey by creating the 1st flexible and squeezable packaging with the characteristic shape of the honey drop. Through this innovation, the Lune de Miel® brand changed honey consumption habits and their Tartimiel immediately becomes the first reference for honey marketed in France.

In 1999, after years of research, Famille Michaud Apiculteurs developed the first flexible packaging Love to Pivot with a silicone valve cap and thus created the “Les Savoureux” range from Lune de Miel®. This type of packaging was a world first and earned the Company the Oscar for packaging in 2000. This innovation was adapted to several other products for ketchups, mustards, and even cosmetics.

Today Famille Michaud Apiculteurs who is a major Manufacturer of Honey and Maple Syrup within France and Canada are Market Leaders for Honey in France and their Brands are exported all across the Globe.
