We’re delighted to welcome our latest Manufacturer member to the ESMA International Network Community – EKKO from Lithuania.
EKKO are a modern and contemporary organic Rapeseed/Canola, Linseed/Flaxseed and Hemp seed oil production company based in Lithuania. Their factory operates in the city of Zarasai, surrounded by extraordinary natural beauty.
Focusing on sustainable sourcing, they produce officially certified organic products. EKKO specialize in the production of unrefined cold pressed rapeseed oil and oilcake. They support local farmers – that is why all their products are made only from rapeseed grown in Lithuanian fields.
EKKO has a zero waste policy. This means that none of the primary raw materials they use are wasted or thrown away. Their advanced production facilities allows them to crush, fill and pack their organically grown cold-pressed seeds into four premium quality consumer ready products with all of the beneficial nutrient qualities stored in every product. Their selected production process ensures that this is done without any harm to the environment.
EKKO’s rapeseed oil is made only from extremely high-quality rapeseed, which is sustainably grown on constantly maintained organic farms. Their strict standards for raw material selection and production, allows them to offer the highest quality organic product from seed to store shelves. EKKO organic rapeseed oil can be called a real asset to modern cuisine. It is a cold-pressed oil, a source of Omega-3, 6, 9 and vitamins E and K. Their oil retains all its best properties when cooked even at temperatures up to 190 and 220 degrees.
All of their products are suitable for vegans and vegetarians. In addition, they do not contain GMOs, gluten and other unnecessary additives.
More than 70% of EKKO’s products are exported to foreign markets, including Scandinavia, Asia and Europe. They are officially certified producers with an organic food production certificate – “EkoAgro” – and they follow the HACCP system during their production. The company also implements the BRC standard. All of their products meet the standards of the retail and HORECA sectors, and are also adapted for purchase by food manufacturers, distributors and organic farms.
