Dear ESMA Members, dear Friends,

It’s a great honour for me to be President of our amazing organization on behalf of Vilandra, and to host the ESMA Vilnius Convention 2022 for the first time in my Country, Lithuania!

We live in times which are full of changes and uncertainty. Our companies and organizations must find ways of adapting to our New World and our ever-Changing Consumers. Today we should break with current rules and look towards innovation, new values and new solutions which can feed our ever-demanding consumers who continue to look for Innovation across our FMCG Industry.

Every day ESMA Members find themselves in a learning mode of trying to find new ways of satisfying our Consumers and Retail Partners – whether it’s a new product, a new market strategy, a new sales or marketing method, new channel, new structure, or even company re-branding – this is everyday life in our new reality.

What helps us to pause and have more confidence in this turbulent life? ESMA has an answer: it’s Networking.

At ESMA we meet very professional business people. Networking helps us to build understanding and trust and contributes to the birth of new partnerships that we see at ESMA every year.

I would like to invite a greater engagement between members and benefit from our planned networking events. This is a key strength of our organization and one we will continue to nurture and strengthen in the years ahead through the ESMA Events at Trade Fairs, Seminars and Conventions. This year again we would like to remind you, if you have a success story to share, please let us know about it by sending details to our CEO – the Innovation Awards hosted during the last number of conventions are proving that members have very successful organizations and able to understand and develop new trends.

ESMA Vilnius Convention will be hosted between the 6th to 8th October 2022.  Vilnius is very pleasant and beautiful city, the Old Town was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List because the town “has preserved an impressive complex of Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque and classical buildings as well as its medieval layout and natural setting”.

According to a European Commission survey of life satisfaction levels, citizens of Vilnius are amongst the happiest in Europe. 98% of residents are happy with life in Vilnius, making us the happiest capital in the EU!

Finally, I’m looking forward to working with all ESMA members together with our CEO David O’Neill and our Board and to welcoming all of you to Vilnius in October 2022!

Warmest regards,

Andrius Samaitis
